This set was put together with
incredible attention to detail. Very consistent PSA 5 grades with one PSA 6 (Odwell/Downs).
Due to the thin paper that these cards were printed on they are difficult to
find in the condition as displayed with this set. This set is consigned, and was added to the PSA Set Registry by 19thCenturyOnly
prior to listing in this auction. This set is ranked as #9 on the PSA set
registry.

The Mecca Double Folders T201's are
one of the finest looking early tobacco sets which feature 50 cards and a total of 100
players (2 players per card). There are a whole host of Hall of Famers (20 in total)
including: Baker, Bender, Bresnahan, Brown, Chance, Clarke, Cobb, Collins,
Crawford, Evers, Huggins, Jennings, Johnson, Lajoie, Mathewson, McGinnity,
Speaker, Wallace, Walsh, Wheat. They were produced by Mecca Cigarettes, and the
cards measure a jumbo size: 2¼" by 4 11/16".
